Liz King Drawings on Paper - On Now at Ruby and Norm

Sorry for my lack of Blog updates.  Its been a hectic few weeks.  I can't quite believe it but I actually managed to put an exhibition together, create new artworks, update my website, get cards printed, postcards, and exhibition posters distributed....all within the space of 10 weeks with a 15 month old!  To be honest I can't remember when or how I created some of my new drawings!
And yet here we are, a week in, and my exhibition has gone off to a great start.  The support of friends and family has kept me motivated, and I feel so privileged to have them.
The Private View was a great event.  Ruby and Norm set the scene, and had lovely drinks and treats, and with a great Spotify playlist, people mingled and chatted and laughed, viewed my work and I even made some sales.
The show is on until the 30th of June, and if you haven't yet been go along to Ruby and Norm, have a coffee and some cake, and have a look at the gallery upstairs....you never know you might come away with an original drawing or a lovely Glicee print.  I am also selling my cards in the shop.
I have to say I do feel quite proud of myself, and as my Social Networking Guru friend says....#mumandthensome

I will be adding my new work onto my website later this week, and I'm in the process of creating an online shop.

Exciting times a head.

Books for little people xx

Hi just wanted to share with you a gorgeous website dedicated to Books for little ones.....Smallprint-online
Smallprint launched in 2015 in Southeast London by a mum of two children.  As a new mum myself I'm super impressed by anyone who can get anything done as a mum.  Not only does the website sell gorgeous captivating books, the style and the photography of the website makes you want to buy buy buy!
Take a peek and buy some books....for a child...or for yourself x

Pick Me Up: Graphics Arts Festival

The PICK ME UP Graphics Arts Festival is still on at Summerset House until the 4th of May.  If you haven't already gone it is well worth a visit.  As well as seeing amazing contemporary graphics you can also get involved.  There are lots of activities you can take part in, from book binding to printing, to designing your own artwork.

I bought a festival pass which allows me to go in and out all week, I've already been twice!  The second time I took my daughter Mabel...she loved it, but I think I heard a sigh of relief as we left....being 13 months and on the move she wanted to touch EVERYTHING!  Luckily nothing was destroyed and we left feeling inspired and excited to live in such a creative city.

Paris 2

As promised, here is an update from the shops in Paris.  I went to Merci for the first time.  Such a beautiful shop, so inspiring.  They are just building their website but here is the link, and here are the photos...

I also went to the Rose Bakery as I said in my previous Paris post, but here are my pictures...

Bonton is a gorgeous Kids shop, right near Bon Marche, click here for their website, and this is what I saw...

Little treats

I had a spare afternoon on Wednesday, so I treated myself to a visit to 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' in Hither Green. I have mentioned them before on my blog, but I just wanted to remind you all to go and have tea and cake at this gorgeous vintage cafe. They also sell beautiful flowers and cards. I always sit in the window at the flower print table.

You can visit their website here.

Bonjour Paris!

I had a little adventure to Paris!  I stayed in my friends beautiful flat in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.  We wandered around the 9th arrondissement, of course there was food involved!  We went to the Rose Bakery for some lunch, which was gorgeous, then I had a Pistachio Cake.  Click here for the Time out review.  On our day out we took the Herb Lester, map of things to do in Paris.  I'd definitely recommend you having a look at his range of city maps, each have a unique design, and they are perfect for carrying around.  I'll give you an update on the shops etc in a bit, but in the meantime I thought I would share some of my pictures with you.
